Dingaling @ Coronation Hall |
13.11.12 |
Ding a Ling need not
worry as a healthy crowd was starting to gather for his run from Coronation
Hall, Surbiton. The start of the run
looked promising with lots of interesting alleyways and off road routes into
Kingston. Some of the checks were so
minute they looked like the mint with the hole. A rather soggy route via Kingston Art
College and a loop into Fairfield. Wasser
suspected half the route looked very familiar indeed - a stolen trail
perhaps. A few laps around
Kingston and a zig zag
return route - onon to thick cut chips and some
fine ale. Not bad for Ding a Ling
special and a nice change to two laps around Bushy Park |

Worzel @ The Cricketers |
20.11.12 |
Excellent winter fayre laid on by Worzel and
Calamity for our eager runners tonight. Strong wet blustery conditions don’t
faze Weybridge Hashers! We roared off into the distance, chattering a go go. Nice to have back with us tonight, Belinda, our local
lady great to see you, and also Charlotte, who has been a bit busy, and
Tuesdays were off limits, back to super speedy again! Did you know of The
Crouch Oak tree in Addlestone, which dates back over
1,000 years, and once marked the boundary of Windsor Forest, a healthy piece
of giant timber for you to spot near the roadside. Our
journey tonight took us all round every footpath in Row Town and nearby Ottershaw, some very nice bits of woodland whose names I
cannot find, Brox Copse being the only one I can. Addlestone means ‘The valley belonging to Attel’, many moons ago of course. We sheltered up in the
pub afterwards, a welcome bonus for all to enjoy. Nice pub too! |

Ard’on Provocateur @ The Woodman |
27.11.12 |
Well, where do we start
with this one! Ashtead Common seems an ideal location for a Hash but the
rains chose to wreck our Hare’s grand ambitions. We all made it into the
middle of the Common, then slushing around in the mud,
most of us were unable to find any flour to guide us out! Five intrepid souls, Pig Pen, Great Bear,
Alan, Mark & Sausage did manage to get up the
hill and reach the Promised Land where they were plied with mulled wine and
mince pies, for their troubles! The rest of our pack,
skidded around, checking every path, finally managing to find a way back to
the pub, and Mary fell over again in the mud. Visitors tonight were Drain
Oil, delighted to see you, cheers! and also a new
Hasher Alan, who hopes to come back and see us, when the waters recede. Tent
Tester Sarah returned, nice to see you as always, as did Sunshine Belinda. Back
in the pub, much map checking was done, but the cause had already been lost. Very
kind of you Ard’on Provacateur,
to lay on wine and pies, thankyou very much. |

Tight
Git @ The Eight Bells |
4.12.12 |
Our Hare Tight Git gave
us an ideal Suburban Winter Hash tonight, lots of flour, easy to follow, and fun
to do. The chill in the air kept us honest, and even encouraged us to stretch
our legs a bit! We tried, but we could not find Santa’s Grotto anywhere en
route, but we were rewarded for coming out to run with Louise’s delicious
warm mince pies and hot mulled wine, yummee !! Yaba daba doo! Lots of happy people
tonight, Tracy back with us, always good, Sarah as well plus Terminator Gill
from Surrey Hash, and Clever Trevor too. Wazzer, Tosser, Simon, George, Molesey
Matt and the fast paced Pig Pen rocking along. Even Drain Oil, fresh from
jetting around the World was here again. We are getting excited now, t’is our 1500thrun next month, so make sure You are on
it, 22 January, plus the Barn Dance & Dinner on 26 January.. Buy your Tickets NOW….will be a blast
!! See you there! |

Tracy
& George @ The Star |
11.12.12 |
A wintery and foggy
landscape welcomed us all, as we turned up for this festive run in the snow.
Thank goodness, quite a lot of runners too! All of St John’s and also Hook
Heath were included, plus Woking Golf Club boundaries. We lost Pig Pen on the
run, but he found himself ! Belinda continues her
supreme fitness regime. Go girl! Mary, Molesey Matt
& Kung Foo Panda were romping along & George & Simon. We got lost near the Wey
navigation canal, but it was fun. Our extremities were under pressure with
hands and feet pretty cold, well it was minus 2. We lost no one in the fog,
even though some short cutted, tut tut, but all were well and what a treat we had near the
on in. Tracy laid on, delicious hot pizza slices,
meat and spicy, to warm our stomachs ….plus, chocolate cake for afters….mmm….Thank
you! Then we took over the local pub, which was a bit quiet before we
arrived. Our evening was complete, even Mismanagement had a meeting. |
